Game Dev Story – iPad Game Review

I will try to keep this review as short as possible because Game Dev Story (GDS) has much to offer. The temptation to write an essay of 100 pages, is strong, but we have enough with a brief overview of these deceptively deep gameplay experience.

At its base, GDS is running a development studio in which the player is responsible for the head of commercial operations. They make important decisions to hire those who assign the tasks to develop the licensing and advertising for the console to boot the participation in trade fairs and a hundred other things.

If this is the GDS began and ended, it would not be so exciting. After all, could a thousand different factors and variables involved in the operation of your studio, but you still need a satisfactory interaction between these elements to create a truly cohesive experience. Fortunately, GDS shovel, a feedback mechanism very rewarding for all the combinations you come up with.

For example, you can play by hiring talent that draws cumulatively to start one or two of the four available statistics. On the other hand, you can create a more balanced approach in which every employee has some power. Although you start with 4 people, if you have enough money to make contracts and complete games, you can upgrade your desktop and be able to accommodate more staff. In turn, this means you can reach your goals faster.

Another interesting mechanic in GDS is the “hype” number. This variable is, how excited is your demographic for your next release. This number depends on a number of factors change, such as your target fan base, the amount of advertising and trade fair visit, as you have, etc. It’s easy and if the incentive to develop creative strategies and plans long term is huge!

The game ends after twenty years with the Development Studio. They are fully covered by the number of games you have and how they were received by the public to be ordered. At this point you will start in a position to play more, while the levels of the different modes of play during your previous play-throughs have accumulated.
